THE OTHER SIDE OF JESUS

Mary and Martha were sisters of Lazarus and Friends of Jesus. When their brother fell ill, they knew that Jesus had the power to heal their brother, however, when their brother died, their hope was gone.

Why did Jesus take so long to arrive? (They must have wondered) Didn't he care, He knew that they were in a desperate place, why couldn't He keep time?

They had seen Jesus heal the sick, open blind eyes but raising the dead? No, that was no where in their vocabulary.

So when their brother died and Jesus was no-where to be seen, all hope was gone, they now mourned for their departed brother.

I have come to learn that sometimes you only understand the journey when you reach your destination, probably the reason why God makes us wait, taking us through certain unexpected routes, is for us to learn something and also master another side of him.

So four days passes and Jesus arrives, so late yet so on time, but this is too deep for them to comprehend at this time.

Jesus needed to change minds and hearts, He needed them to understand that *He is the resurrection and life* that although Lazarus was pronounced dead, He (Jesus) had the final say upon his life.

So Jesus requests them to take Him where they lay him, when He saw the place, He wept. This was an indication that Jesus felt the pain of loosing a loved one, Lazarus wasn't supposed to be there.

The stone was rolled away and disregarding the fact that the body had already started to stink, Jesus called him out.

One thing that these people hadn't grasped yet, was that, Jesus had a speciality, He would call things that are not into existence, and those things obeyed Him.

Jesus called life into Lazarus and he rose from the dead.

It must have been a terrifying sight to behold yet such terrific moment for those who witnessed it.

How could this be? This miracle was unheard-of in their times.

They thought that Jesus could only heal but now even the dead respond to His commands.

What more could this Nazarene do?

One thing that is clear here is that Jesus is so compassionate and caring, and although He seems late (according to our timing) He's always on time.

He showed another side of Him that no mind could grasp and He showed that He can be trusted.

This other side of Him revealed that He had power to do what man calls impossible, He loved Lazarus alot and more than anything, He was so empathetic to their pain, He cared about all they went through.

So what is it that you are going through today, Is it hurt? Sickness? Things that you can't control?

Jesus loves you, why don't you invite Him like the two sisters, because He always has another side to reveal to us when He is invited.

He feels that pain with you, He Opens doors no man can shut and He is on your side.

Sometimes He may seem late, but get this, He is always on time and His timing is always the best.

Go ahead and trust Him today will you 🤗
