IF YOU HEARD YOU HEARD

Have you ever been told something  by God which you later doubted ever hearing the promise let alone it coming to be?

Let me put it like this, you were told that something good is going to happen to either you, your ministry or your family, you believe in the word, receive the news with so much joy, but after sometimes, the joy starts fading off and disbelief knocks in, you start questioning yourself.. Did I really hear well, was it really God... etc

If this has happened to you, you are not alone, you, me and some people in the bible also went through that season of waiting and doubting.

1. David was anointed king of Israel but it was  after several years that he actually became king.

2.The Israelites were promised the land flowing with milk and honey, Canaan, but while in the wilderness they doubted and complained.

3. Mary, Elizabeth, Sarah and the Shunemite woman were promised children, but they had to wait (Sarah even doubted) until the promised time to see the actual child.

From the above examples three, there is a common process they go through;

Promise, Practice and Patience then possession.

They were each given a promise, the promise required practice and patience from them in order for them to posses what they were told.

Allow me to break it up for you;

1. Promise

This is the time that you don't know about the direction in your life. You don't know where to start or how to move.

Then God gives you a promise.

At this point, the promise is so clear and precise to you.

You receive it with so much joy and hope for you now have a direction in your life.

You believe in the impossible and now nothing can stop you.

2. Practice and Patience

After you receive your promise,  the second part called is Practice and Patience.

This is where you receive what you have heard and practice what you've been told.

Your limits are stretched and your strength really measured.

Your faith is now tested.

Here is where you have to believe in the God whom you don't see more than the situation you see around you.

Trials, challenges and tribulations are in their full blow.

You are now in a state of "was i really called or did i just call my self"

Its the point where you either break through or you break out, you either Give-into or give-up?

Your choice here determines your progress to the next level.

Will you obey and wait or will will you discontinue and quit?

Mary waited on the angel's word and it came to pass, Sarai could not wait for the promise God had given Abram, she decided to allow Haggai have a child on her behalf.

3. Possession

If at all you trusted in God's Promise, obeyed and  waited on him, He definitely keeps His word and possession becomes your portion.

He restores all that was lost, He fulfills all that He promises and what's more, He wipes all your tears and renews your strength.

He removes shame from you and cloths you with His glory.

Just because you heard, obeyed and trusted Him, He gives you an everlasting inheritance. One that will never be taken away from you.

You become a testimony for God's glory.

Listen,  Has God promised you something? He will definitely do it, it doesn't matter how long it takes neither does it matter what situations surround you.

So take your word and move with it.

Keep Pressing on and Keep Pursuing.

Don't loose Hope and don't loose Focus.

What matters is, HE SAID IT, and He'll definitely DO IT at His perfect time.
